Exam Grading pattern: Standard (A+AA-...F) For a student to pass the course, at least 30% of the maximum mark for the examination must be obtained.

The course helps to understand the software packages (multilingual) used in documentation, graphics, superlative designs, images, special effects, modifications to scanned images and printing technology. Provides excellent resources to understand the best methods of usage of Indian language scripts in Graphic & Designing.

MS-Dos & OS OBJECTIVES:
· Upon completion, students should be able to:

MS-DOS
Learning of how to use the MS-DOS filing system to organize the information (files) stored on your computer. This includes the proper use of directories to group related files together, and to separate non-related files. Properly organizing the files on your system is necessary if you want to efficiently use your computer.

COREL PHOTO PAINT
Objectives:
After completing this course, you'll have identified the components of the Corel PHOTO-PAINT environment. Then you'll have changed the view of an image by using several techniques and shortcuts and identified how to control the size and resolution of the image. You will have cropped an image to remove unwanted areas and mask image areas by using various masking tools. Then you'll have created objects by masking image areas and then transformed the objects. You will also have adjusted an object's opacity and applied a merge mode to simulate transparency for the object. Then you'll have identified the characteristics of Corel PHOTO-PAINT color modes and worked with the painting and cloning tools. You will have then added text to an image and formatted the text. You will also have adjusted the tone of the objects in an image by using different methods. Finally, you'll have saved a copy of an image for use in a printed document and on the Web.
